This beautiful vintage Southwest pin is what is known as a grandmother cluster; legend has it that the center stone is the grandmother, and each outer ring represents her being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. This particular cluster is centered by a small oval cabochon of blue-green turquoise, surrounded by radiating rows of alternating petit point and snake eye turquoise stones, all set in tiny serrated bezels. The rings are separated by tiny twist wire details and the outer ring is embellished with sterling silver drops. Absolutely stunning statement piece.
